Site Description
The site consists of three abandoned drums located in an alley behind ABM Janitorial Supplies at 3179 Minnesota Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri, in an area of mixed residential and commercial use. Two schools are located within a mile of the site. The abandoned containers were initially reported to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) Environmental Services Program by an unknown source. MDNR investigated the site on February 7, 2007. Samples results confirmed the drums contain flammable liquids. The drums are located in an unsecured location and are accessible to children and vandals.

Current Activities
The abandoned containers of flammable liquids were picked up by a disposal contractor on July 5, 2007.  Final disposal occurred on September 10, 2007.  

Planned Removal Actions
No further action is planned for this site.

Key Issues
No potentially responsible parties were identified for this site.  EPA responded at the request of the MDNR.
 
Disposition Of Wastes
Disposal of the three 55 gallon drums containing flammable liquids was handled by Veolia ES Technical Solutions LLC, EPAID ILD098642424, 7 Mobile Avenue, Sauget, IL 62201 via rotary kiln incineration.
