Site Description
The site consists of one drum abandoned in a drainage ditch near 1750 Allen Road, Fenton, Missouri. The abandoned drum was initially reported to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) Environmental Services Program by the Springdale Fire Department of Fenton on February 19, 2007. MDNR initially investigated the site on the same day. Samples results confirmed the drums contain flammable liquids. The drum is located in an unsecured location and is accessible to the public.

Current Activities
The abandoned container of flammable liquids was picked up by a disposal contractor on July 5, 2007.  Final disposal occurred on September 10, 2007.  

Planned Removal Actions
No further action is planned for this site.

Key Issues
No potentially responsible parties were identified for this site.  EPA responded at the request of the MDNR.

 
Disposition Of Wastes
Disposal of the one 55 gallon drum containing flammable liquids was handled by Veolia ES Technical Solutions LLC, EPAID ILD098642424, 7 Mobile Avenue, Sauget, IL 62201 via rotary kiln incineration.
