Current Activities
Week of  September 7 through September 11, 2009
•  ERRS graded the stone covering placed on the Site.
•  ERRS decontaminated/demobilized heavy equipment.
•  ERRS conducted final clean-up of surficial floor debris in Building #6.
•  ERRS re-cleaned and re-sampled the waste water treatment system filter bag chamber.
•  12 loads (306 tons) of low-level pcb contaminated soil was transported off site to the Countywide Recycling and Disposal facility in East Sparta, Ohio (September 9th, 2009).
•  14 loads (376 tons) of low-level pcb contaminated soil was transported off site to the Countywide Recycling and Disposal facility in East Sparta, Ohio (September 10, 2009).
•  An ERRS Subcontractor repaired the asphalt driveway located between the Ohio Cast Products site and the neighboring facility that was damaged as a result of site work.

Week of  September 14 through September 18, 2009
•  All equipment and support services were demobilized from the site
•  All site personnel were demobilized from the site.

October 28, 2009 (Wednesday)
•  Final site walk was conducted with officials from the City of Canton.
•  Final public meeting was held with US EPA and officials from the City of Canton.  10 local residents attended the meeting.

Disposition Of Wastes
A total of 3,144 tons of ACWM debris went to Minerva Landfill, Waynseburg, Ohio for disposal.

A total of 194 tons of mixed ACWM and PCB debris went to Minerva Landfill, Waynesburg, Ohio for disposal.

A total of 911 tons of ACWM debris went to American Landfill, Waynesburg, Ohio for disposal.

A total of 4,500 gallons of waste oil and waste quench oil went to the Chemtron Corporation for recycling/disposal.

A total of 816 tons of debris and sand contaminated with low level PCBs went to Minerva Landfill, Waynesburg, Ohio for disposal.

A total of 8 cubic yard boxes of foundry sand heavily contaminated with PCBs went to Wayne Disposal Inc., Site #2, Belleville, MI for disposal.

A total of 76 drums/totes of D001, D002 or other liquid waste went to Chemtron Corporation, Avon, Ohio for disposal.

Two (2) PCB contaminated tranformers went to Clean Harbors, Twinsburg Ohio, for disposal.

One (1) pallet of fire extinguishers went to Pitt in Canton, Ohio for reuse/recycling.

One (1) cylinder of nitrogen went to Ohio Air Products in Canton, Ohio for reuse/recycling.

One (1) cylinder of anhydrous ammonia went to Tanner Industries in New Castle, Pennsylvania for reuse/recycling.

One (1) cylinder of trimethylene went to H A International, Indianaoplis, Indiana for recycling.

A total of 140 tons of scrap steel went to PSC Metals, Canton, Ohio for recycling.

A total of 50,000 gallons of PCB impacted water was treated on Site.

A total of 30 tons of general site debris went to Republic Landfill, East Sparta, Ohio.

A total of 1,296 tons of TSCA regulated PCB soil went to Wayne Disposal Inc., Site #2, Belleville, Michigan, for disposal.

A total of 682 tons of non-TSCA regulated PCB soil went to the Countywide Recycling and Disposal Facility, East Sparta, ohio for disposal.
