On July 10, 2015, Plains Pipeline, LLC reported the release of approximately 100 barrels of crude oil from a pipeline fitting at a pump station located in Pocahantas, Bond County, Illinois (NRC Incident Report 1122376) . Pipeline personnel stated that oil was discharged to the ground and into a ditch leading to the tributary of Little Silver Creek. Pipeline personnel indicated that a 20-inch pipeline is connected to the pumphouse. Little Silver Creek discharges into Highland Silver Lake (a reservoir) which is located approximately 5-miles to the southwest of the discharge location. Pipeline personnel stated that they have mobilized an emergency response contractor to the scene. On July 10, 2015, an EPA OSC mobilized to the site.
