In October 2017, multiple local, county and state agencies served a search warrant on Dynamic - X Metals Plating in Upland, CA. As a result of the warrant, the city of Upland "Red Tagged" the facility, effectively shutting down the business. In December 2017, the San Bernardino County Fire Department Health Hazmat CUPA formerly referred the site to EPA for cleanup under CERCLA. In April 2018, the landowner group commenced a PRP lead removal action under an AOC.
