Epic Holdings LLC. aka Epic Ventures, is a real estate business that owns properties that are leased to commercial businesses. The property at the address on Hudson Falls Road was subdivided into numerous businesses, one being an automotive supply business. In 2016 this facility was the subject of an EPA enforcement action for an improper asbestos remediation, and became an RP-Lead Removal Site in 2016. At the conclusion of the asbestos remediation, monitored by the Superfund program, the Region II RCRA office observed that there were rooms in the main building that contained hundreds of containers of hazardous and unlabeled chemicals which were apparently abandoned by a previous tenant, yet to be identified. It was also reported that there is a garage on the Site that contained hundreds of drums of heating oil that was removed from oil tanks that were taken out of service. An EPA TSCA inspection was conducted at this facility in May, 2017 and identified 14 PCB transformers, some visibly leaking, containing a total of more than 1,000 gallons of PCB fluids, with concentrations up to 576 ppm. The entire facility is within 50 feet of the Hudson River. A site assessment was performed at this facility on July 14, 2017. Upon closer inspection the waste chemicals located on an upper floor are dangerous and are stored without regard to compatibility.
