On December 19, 2017, NRC Report Incident Report # 1200030 documented a spill at the Benchmark River terminal at 4820 River Road, Cincinnati, OH:

AT 0830EST. DURING OFFLOADING OPS FROM A BARGE AT THE TERMINAL,
"SOMETHING HAPPENED" TO THE BARGE, WHICH RESULTED IN THE VESSEL SPLITTING IN HALF. BOTH ENDS OF THE VESSEL ARE OUT OF THE WATER, HOWEVER, THE MIDDLE REMAINS SUBMERGED. A CONFIRMED 200,000 GALLONS OF UREA AMMONIUM NITRATE SOLUTION (32%) WAS OFFLOADED PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT AND THE VESSEL HAS THE REMAINING 375,000 GALLONS OF PRODUCT ON BOARD. THERE IS A CONFIRMED POLLUTION, AMOUNT RELEASED IS UNKNOWN."

US EPA Region 5 OSC Steve Renninger, US Coast Guard MSD Cincinnati, Ohio EPA, KY DEP, ORSANCO, and Hamilton County LEPC responded to the spill on December 19, 2017.
