The site covers seven parcels, which have been found to contain drums and residual mining waste with hazardous waste levels of lead and asbestos-containing building materials (ACBM). Historically, the site included the Quincy Reclamation Plant and Quincy Stamp Mills. Access to the site is unrestricted and the property is frequented by trespassers, including students, tourists, hikers, wedding photoshoots, and the public.
