During state of Michigan and U.S. EPA’s site evaluations, oil sheen was documented on surface water of a drainage canal in Ripley Township, Michigan.

Weather conditions could cause migration of petroleum contamination into navigable waters.

U.S. EPA is conducted a removal action to excavate oil-saturated soil from the drainage canal.
