monitoring in residential areas and provided limited air monitoring for
particulate at the scene.
As of this afternoon,
based on air monitoring results at the scene, EPA transitioned all monitoring

Background
On July 19, 2022, at approximately 4:40 a.m., a commercial structural
fire broke out at a farming supply company containing agricultural
products and ingredients. A shelter-in-place advisory was issued by local
officials for surrounding communities. Multiple agencies responded, and at 1
p.m., state and local officials made a request to U.S. EPA to provide air
monitoring assistance. EPA arrived on-scene around 4 p.m. and established
mobile and stationary air monitoring locations.
