As soon as EPA became aware of the incident at Sound Resource Solutions in Shepherd, Texas, the agency activated emergency response protocols and began coordinating with local and state responding agencies. EPA deployed a federal on-scene coordinator and activated technical assistance contractor resources. The agency also deployed the Airborne Spectral Photometric Environmental Collection Technology (ASPECT) aircraft, which conducted flyover air monitoring of the area. Residents should continue to follow safety instructions from local responders.
