On July 25, 2025, EPA received a request from the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) to evaluate and perform a possible removal action at a site in Midwest City, OK. The site is near the Eagle Industries NPL site, where the main chemical of concern is trichlorethylene (TCE) which has migrated off-site. ODEQ performed residential ground water well sampling at homes near the site. EPA has installed filters for wells at multiple residences in the area previously.

ODEQ collected samples from the private drinking water well at 10620 SE 29th Street, Midwest City, Oklahoma (a church). Sample results indicated a TCE concentration of 5.2 µg/L which exceeds the Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) of 5.0 µg/L for TCE in drinking water. Results from confirmation samples were also above the MCL.

On July 30, 2025 EPA and ODEQ met with representatives from the site to discuss options to address the contamination of the ground water well.
