The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the EPA, is
collaborating with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, or NJDEP,
Gloucester County, and other state and local officials in response to a brush
fire incident at the Pioneer Metal Finishing Inc. Superfund Site in
Franklinville, NJ. The agency is monitoring the air to assess the incident’s
potential impact on public health. The EPA will share the results with NJDEP
and Gloucester County to supplement air monitoring the state and county had already
conducted.
