During Superbowl XL, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will be conducting air and radiation monitoring prior to and during the game. EPA Region 5 will provide personnel to staff the Joint Operation Center (JOC) and on-scene teams led by EPA Region 5,s On-Scene Coordinators (OSC). The on-scene teams will be staffed with personnel from EPA's Environmental Response Team (ERT), EPA's Criminial Investigation Division (CID), EPA Region 5's Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team (START), and EPA Region 5's Emergency and Rapid Response Services (ERRS) contractor. EPA personnel will also assist the Department of Energy (DOE), with radiation monitoring.
