The site is a former electroplating manufacturing facility operated by ECC Corporation from the 1950s until 2005. The Site includes a two-story brick and cinder block manufacturing building located on a 14-acre property in a residential area of Holden Massachusetts. Prior to the construction of the ECC facility, a historic mill operation was once located on the property.

The facility is currently inactive and unoccupied. Hazardous substances (including acids, bases, oxidizers, flammables, cyanide, and compressed gases) were present in tanks, drums, compressed gas cylinders in the building.

The Site is located within a residential area and is abutted by residences to the north, west, and south. Asnebumskit Brook runs along the southern and eastern edges of the property. Surface topography slopes toward this brook. The northern portion of the property is currently undeveloped and is overgrown with vegetation.
