Thirty-five elementary students, a teacher and the nurse at the Beloit Elementary School developed a rash due to unknown causes.

March 19, 2007, at the request of Ohio EPA, U.S. EPA convened a conference call with ATSDR, CDC, and ERT to provide guidance to the school.

March 21, U.S. EPA conducted air sampling at the school. Results showed no elevated VOC, SVOC, or pesticides.

March 23, school reopened without a determination of the cause.
