On May 2, 2008 the US Virgin Islands (USVI)Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR)requested assistance on behalf of the USVI Waste Management Authority (WMA)in determining the potential for exposure of residents and the environment to particulates and gases which may be released during the extinguishment of subterranean fires in the Anguilla Landfill.
