Delek Refinery Explosion

 

An explosion at the Delek Petroleum Refinery in Tyler, Texas took place on 11/20/2008 at approx. 14:00 hours. At least 4 people were injured, two with very serious burns. The explosion took place in the Saturated Gas Unit.

EPA mobilized Superfund Technical Assistance Response Team (START) contractors to the scene for air monitoring and site monitoring. ASPECT has also been mobilized.
