From June 23 to July 4, Shell Motiva, Norco, LA, experienced a unit failure, resulting in ongoing flaring. Repairs to the unit were completed on July 3, and the unit was brought back completely on July 4. EPA START personnel were dispatched to monitor in the community outside the facility's fenceline during the startup period to determine if any substances were released during the startup.
