Clayton Williams Energy Oil Spill

On May 14, 2004, EPA Region 6 was notified of a 20 to 180 barrel oil spill into the Little Brazos River. It is believed that the rising flood waters and high winds floated a salt water tank which damaged the oil storage tank piping releasing the oil into the river. The flow pathway is Little Brazos River to the Brazos River. EPA OSC Gary Moore and the EPA START contractor were deployed to conduct oversight of the response actions.
