On the afternoon of 6/18/14, at the request of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM), a Region 5 OSC with ERRS contractors responded to a spill of approximately 25 gallons from one of four abandoned 55 gallon drums on a road about 200 yards west of 6801 River Road beside the Wabash River in Peru, Miami County, IN. 46970. The state fire marshall conducted a hazmat ID test which indicated that the drums contained toluene 2,4-diisocyanate.
