The KARG Brothers Tannery site is an abandoned full service leather tannery which ceased operation in 1996 and operated for over one-hundred years. The mill received various animal hides (both raw and pickled) from all over the world. A quote from a former employee "we'll tan anything" and evidence found on site says that they basically did.

The site is comprised of four interconnected buildings that were used for perparing and tanning animal hides. The buildings occupy alittle over four acres of a five acre site and are in a dilapidated condition. Hazards other than the buildings themselves, at the site include acids, chromium, dyes, caustics, pigments, PCBs, asbestos and numerous skins, hair and residues that pose a potential biological hazard.

THIS SITE CLEAN-UP IS COMPLETE AND THERE ARE NO MORE ON SITE ACTIVITIES.
