The site is an abandoned residential property at 8989 East Oak Street in Hillisburg, Clinton County, Indiana. Site coordinates are latitude 40.2853980 and longitude -86.3377370.
1.1.2.2 Description of Threat
On April 16, 2011, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) responded to an oil spill in Hillisburg, Indiana at the request of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM). IDEM and EPA observed oil sheen discharging from a ditch bank below an abandoned house at 8989 E. Oak Street. Oil in the ditch was flowing north toward the South Fork of Wildcat Creek.
