The site was shut down on May 23 through May 27 for the Memorial Day Holiday.
2.1.2 Response Actions to Date
From May 13 through May 22, forty drums of paint sludge was shoveled from the two easternmost pits in the facility. Oil/water from the eastern pits were tranferred to the pits on the western side of the faciltiy to facilitate disposal and the emptied pits were cleaned. Drums containing waste oils were also emptied in the pits to facilitate disposal. All drummed waste was overpacked in preperation for transportation and disposal.
On May 21, PCB results from concrete core sampling were received and 16 of the 59 core samples were above 50 ppm total PCBs (TSCA regulated) and 6 samples were between 25 and 50 ppm total PCBs.
On May 23, ERRS demobolized from the site as the site was shut down for the Memorial Day Holiday (will re-mobilize on May 28, 2013)
