2. Current Activities
  2.1 Operations Section
    2.1.1 Narrative

Since the last POLREP, the Town of Hillsborough completed the demolition of the residence. On 18 August 2011, EPA completed the site restoration activities.

2.1.2 Response Actions to Date

- 6 July 2011, ERRS personnel and equipment were mobilized to the Site to inspect, repair and/or maintain the erosion control system currently in place and to restore the logging road area at the abutter's property where the command post was once located by replacing a 4-inch drainage pipe that was damaged by the removal activities.  ERRS personnel and equipment demobilized upon the completion of the activities for the day.

- On 18 and 19 July 2011, ERRS personnel and equipment were mobilized to restore the area where the on-site residence had previously been located by applying 54 tons of topsoil, properly grading, geomatting for erosion control and applying the wetland seed.  OSC Tsang was on-site to provide contractor oversight and also met with personnel from ATSDR, NHDES, NHDPH and Hillsborough Code Enforcement Officer (HCEO) to review the final site conditions and the locations of the unexcavated grids where levels of SVOCs and metals were slightly above the state cleanup levels.  ERRS was not able to address an area where the excavator owned by the Town's demolition contractor was located.  ERRS personnel and equipment demobilized upon the completion of the planned activities.

- From 25 July to 18 August, 2011, ERRS subcontractor P&L Landscaping of Manchester, NH applied fertilizers and water as needed over the seeded area to promote growth of vegetation.

- On 2 August 2011, OSC Tsang and ERRS personnel mobilized to the Site to complete the site restoration at an area where an excavator owned by the Town's demolition contractor was located, inspect and maintain the erosion control system and demobilize the perimeter chain-link fence.  OSC Tsang and ERRS personnel demobilized upon completion.

- On 23 August 2011, OSC Tsang conducted the final on-site inspection.
