2.1.1 Narrative
2.1.2 Response Actions to Date
Between 2/19/2016 and 3/30/2016, OMI cleaned and demobilized the equipment - barges, transload site, water treatment system, trailers, fencing - cleaned the surfaces and returned the property to the Port of Tacoma for re-use. On 3/30/2016, the OSC inspected the properties at Pier 4 and the APM terminal and found that equipment had been completely demobilized, the surfaces cleaned, stripes repainted, and the area in the process of being returned to APM for re-use. The OSC met with the Port of Tacoma to discuss preparing the final report, records transfer, press release and the elimination of the need for financial assurance. The Removal Action completion date was set at 3/30/2016. The Port agreed to be responsible for any future Port Removal Site Controls such as slope protection above the dredged area at Pier 4.
2.1.3 Enforcement Activities, Identity of Potentially Responsible Parties (PRPs)
The Port of Tacoma is the PRP performing the removal action. Research is being conducted to identify additional PRPs.
