At approximately 1300 hours on December 18, 2015, an anhydrous ammonia release occurred at approximately in a mechanical room of the Talenti Gelato plant. The plant is located at 1058 King Industrial Drive, Marietta, Georgia. Local emergency responders evacuated the plant and adjacent businesses.

At 1750 hours, EPA Emergency Response, Prevention and Removal Branch was called to assist the Marietta Fire Department. Federal On-Scene Coordinator Kevin Eichinger responded. EPA performed air monitoring and oversaw the clean up of the spill anhydrous ammonia liquid.
