At approximately 16:40 OSC Lippert was alerted to a mercury spill of approximately 200 beads at Baer Park in Waterville, Ohio. The park is highly utilized and in the center of a residential neighborhood.

Waterville Fire Department conducted the initial assessment, and placed caution tape around the spill area and requested U.S. EPA assistance. OSC Lippert arrived on-scene at 18:40 and coordinated efforts with Lucas County Environmental Health Department, Waterville Fire Department and Ohio EPA.
