An explosion and fire has occured at the Westlake Chemical Plant in Geismar, LA. Chemicals of concern at the plant include Vinyl Chloride, Vinyl Chloride Monomer and Chlorine. Louisiana State Police have closed down a section of Highway 73 and ordered a "Shelter in Place" within a one mile radius of the facility. ASPECT has been tasked for a flyover and OSC Rhotenberry and Baton Rouge START Contractors are mobilizing to the site.
