WYNNEWOOD, Okla. -- Crews battled a refinery fire in Wynnewood early Friday afternoon after, officials said, lightning struck a tank.

Eyewitnesses said that a bolt struck storage tanker No. 138 at the Gary Williams Refining Co., which employs 185 people. They said the strike peeled back part of a storage tanker and suffered heavy damage.

Wynnewood Refinery have evacuated employees and Wynnewood Refinery Fire Brigade have been foaming the tank to extinguish the fire. OSC Chris Ruhl is en-route to respond.
