This is a NIMS Integration Team, Regional Emergency Operations Center Guidance site.

The guidance and supporting documents are intend to assist regions in developing detailed operation guides for the activation, staffing and management of their regional emergency operations centers. The guidance is intended to establish a common format containing standardized operational principles and terminology which will promote interpretability among EPA HQ’s and REOC’s while allowing flexibility for regional variation that addresses local needs.

This site will be used for future postings of lessons learned and recommended changes or improvements to the current guidance based upon actual utilization during drills, exercises and incidents / events.

Thanks to Carl Lautenberger, OSC R10, for his efforts in developing the initial guidance document.
