LDEQ Removal: LDEQ sponsored removal actions were continued. Excavations were focused on the area of the former impoundment on the site's western portion, and a cavity of battery waste on the site's eastern portion. These excavations extended to depths of 72-108 inches below the original ground surface. To date, approximately 776.20 cubic yards of LDEQ soil have been excavated. Excavated soil was stockpiled on the site’s western portion. The area of the former impoundment was partially backfilled, and the site was prepared for the Independence Day break, including securing and covering all stockpiles, and staging and storing all equipment on site.
LDEQ Removal: Continue excavation of LDEQ sponsored grids on the eastern and western portions of the site. Continue treatment of excavated soil. Stage all treated soil in preparation for T&D operation.
