Current Activities
The week of April 28, 2008, ERRS shipped off approximately 2,399 tons of treated soil and ash to the approved Sand Valley Landfill in Collinsville, Alabama.  START documented Site activities and collected confirmatory samples of the excavated areas.  Preliminary analytical results indicated that one of four grids was above the EPA's cleanup level for PCBs.

Planned Removal Actions
One 50ft by 50ft grid will need to be excavated to reach EPA's cleanup levels for PCBs.  A confirmatory sample of the grid will then be collected.  All of the excavated areas will be backfilled, graded, and seeded.
