A Removal Site Evaluation, consisting of a Preliminary Assessment and Site Investigation (PA/SI), has been undertaken for the Baldwinville Products site in Baldwinville, Massachusetts. The findings of the Removal Site Evaluation, summarized in a PA/SI Report, have been evaluated under the criteria set forth in section 300.415 of the NCP and section 104(a), (b) of CERCLA, 42 U.S.C. § 9604(a), (b). The Removal Site Evaluation has led to the determination that a Removal Action is appropriate at this time.

The findings of the Removal Site Evaluation are as follows:

a. Please refer to the document entitled "Removal Program Preliminary Assessment/Site Investigation Report for the Baldwinville Products Site, Baldwinville, Massachusetts" by Weston Solutions, Inc. Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team 2000 (September 2003), and to the site file for details.
