The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is conducting an environmental assessment of the Hockessin Groundwater Site. The Site consists of approximately 32 acres along DE State Route 41 through Hockessin, and encompasses numerous commercial, businesses, and residential, properties.

The assessment is to enhance understanding of the extent and movement of perchloroethylene (PCE) contamination in the groundwater in the village of Hockessin, Delaware, and the potential threats this contaminant may pose including vapor intrusion (VI).
