The Paulian Place Abandoned Containers site is located in an alleyway behind residential parcels along Paulian Place in St. Louis, Missouri. Field sampling by Missouri Department of Natural Resources, or MDNR, indicated that numerous abandoned containers located at the site contained hazardous substances, including ignitable and caustic wastes. On April 25, 2019, MDNR formally requested the EPAs assistance for the removal and disposal of the abandoned containers. EPA, along with START and ERRS, categorized and profiled waste streams generated at the site on April 27, 2019. On May 20, 2019 wastes were disposed of at a U.S. Ecology facility in Detroit, Michigan.
