FEMA has issued EPA ESF 10 Mission Assignment funding, under DR 4451, to respond to flooding in Missouri, including FEMA Operations Center liaison support, and ESF 10 oil and hazardous material recovery field operations.

March 2019 precipitation resulted in flooding across the Midwest. Flooding was prevalent throughout Missouri, particularly along the Missouri River and its tributaries. EPA is addressing orphaned containers and spills/discharges of hazardous materials and oil that are present as a result of the flooding.

From June through August 2019, EPA conducted ESF 10 activities under a Mission Assignment for DR 4435. Those Mission Assignment activities have been completed and the ESF 10 activities discussed on this website are specific for DR 4451.
