Nonoperational electroplating facility with containers storing hazardous wastes including cyanide, acids, and heavy metals. A Removal Site Evaluation was performed in July 2024, and after continuing to monitor the facility for several additional weeks, the OSC determined that a limited emergency response was required to address leaking tanks. Once the emergency action was completed, the site transitioned to a time-critical removal to remove the chemicals from the facility. Urgency is heightened by the location of the facility within a residential neighborhood.

Note that this website is only documenting the actions taken on the Time-Critical Removal.  All Emergency Response actions were documented under another site profile (https://response.epa.gov/techtrixer).
