The primary goal of EPA's removal site evaluation is to determine whether any contamination from materials at the Max Environmental Technologies Yukon Facility is migrating to groundwater or residential drinking water wells. This sampling will assess the presence and levels of inorganic compounds indicative of landfill leaching, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs), total and dissolved metals, radionuclides, and various water quality parameters in residential drinking water wells and existing groundwater monitoring wells at the site. Presence and levels of contaminants will be used to inform removal decisions and the need for possible additional assessment activities or response actions in the vicinity of the site.
