Following the August 2007 Lake Linden Emergency Response, U.S. EPA has initiated a survey of the Torch Lake Area from the Quincy Smelter to the Gay Stamp Sand deposit. The survey will identify whether the near historic water level drop has exposed other areas of contamination.

Information on the Lake Linden Emergency Response can be found at www.epaosc.net/lakelinden
