On 01/07/08, Denbury Onshore LLC reported a 40-50 bbl crude oil release originating from a 2" flowline which was reportedly ruptured by a fallen tree. The ruptured flowline is located immediately adjacent to an unnamed tributary located within a dense, forested bottom-land. The length of the spill is approximately 6/10th's of a mile long and is primarily contained within the tributary. Oil is currently bank to bank along the 3-5' wide tributary.

The RP(Denbury) has 2 oil field contractors responding with personnel, boom and vac trucks. They have also procured the services of a spill management team (ES&H)to provide technical assistance and contractor oversight.

The release has been secured and is currently contained within the banks of the unnamed tributary and associated bottomlands. The cleanup is expected to continue for several days and perhaps weeks depending on weather conditions. OSC Ullock has been dispatched to the site and will continue to provide technical assistance and provide continued support to the State of Alabama.
