Drums were observed protruding from the surface of an abandon landfill. The landfill received waste from the Industrial Chemical Company's solvent recovery operation in Rock Hill, South Carolina. South Carolina DHEC performed an investigation of the site. The results of the DHEC investigation indicate soil and groundwater contamination with volatile organic compounds.
