The fire at Southern States Farm and Garden's facility in Warrenton, NC began at 1745 on February 2, 2011. The facility was reported to contain fertilizers and pesticides within the building. The local fire department based on recommendations from a regional Haz Mat team instituted a 6 block mandatory evacuation. Phone Duty deployed OSC Jordan Garrard and Tetra-Tech. OSC Wagner (Region 3) was asked to assist due to her close proximity to the facility. OSC Wagner and OSC Garrard arrived onsite, the fire was still burning and under control.
