On September 2, 2010, EPA received a report of a fire burning near some homes. Citizens were complaining about the smoke and odor.

OSC Spurlin visited the location and observed a smoldering burnt area. It appeared the property was being burned as part of a clearing process for development of the property. No significant odors or smoke were noted, and no chemicals were impacted by the fire. OSC Spurlin demobilized from the area with no further action planned.
