This is an abandoned oil well that has been reported to NRC as discharging oil into the waters of West Virginia.

The OSC has reviewed the reports and current photograph supplied by the West Virginia Office of Oil and Gas and has determined that immediate action needs to be taken to mitigate the release.

The OSC has issued a PRFA to the WV Office of Oil and Gas to take immediate action.
