On March 22, 2012 at approximately 1020, central time, the USCG Sector Houston called the Region 6 Hotline to report that NRC (#1006526), which had been sent to them, was in EPA area of responsibility. The USCG advised EPA of the oil spill located near Hitchcock, TX. Reportedly, over 2000 barrels has been released. OSC Smalley and EPA START Contractors have been deployed to the scene.
