Southwest PA/Wheeling Sub-Area Planning –
• Covers the 10 county area of southwestern Pennsylvania including: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Cambria, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Somerset, Washington and Westmoreland
• Covers the 5 county area in the northern panhandle of West Virginia including Brooke, Hancock, Marshall, Ohio and Wetzel
• Includes the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio River and tributaries
The Southwest PA/Wheeling Sub-Area Plan covers both oil and hazardous substances contingency planning as provided for under the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan (40 CFR, part 300, Subpart C, 300.210 (c))
