Recent Phase 2 environmental assessment discovered an aged release of lead and arsenic from a phosphate facility that operated in the early 1900s in Columbia, SC. DHEC quickly mobilized assessment resourcees and requested EPA assisitance in evaluating the impact to an adjacent residential community.
