The Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation (TDEC) contacted OSC Spurlin regarding drums and containers of suspected waste abandoned at the former Adams Brothers Collision Repair facility. The facility operator is bankrupt. The owner is not able to undertake the necessary actions to address the remaining waste. Information provided to EPA by TDEC documents the presence of drums and totes in poor condition outside the building.

EPA is initiating an emergency response to stabilize the waste material and eventually dispose of any remaining waste.
