OSC was deployed on the morning of January 8th, 2014 to respond to an oil spill in Eucutta, MS. Approximately 50 barrels of oil and 40 bbls of brine discharged from a flow line break that is connected to a tank battery. RP is responding. OSC and MSDEQ are providing oversite and direction thru Unified Command. USCG GST is assisting the OSC. Spill has entered into unnamed tributaries, Wagon Branch and a wetland impacting approximately 8 acres and 8 property parcels stretched out over approximately 2200 linear feet. Wayne County EMA and MS Oil and Gas Board are participating agencies.
